BIO

Like many professional vocalists and musicians, Paris began singing in church at a very young age.  He recalls his first solo ("Now Behold the Lamb," Kirk Franklin) and even today remembers the response he felt from the music director and congregation.  His years in the children's and youth choirs led him to being the lead singer and drummer. As an only and adopted child, Paris performed while both his mom and dad transitioned from staff to ministry.

NAVY - Paris was raised in Richmond, Virginia and joined the Navy in 2011.  He served as a Machinist Mate on the USS Denver (LPD-9) and was stationed in Japan and Mayport Naval Station.  His Navy travels took him to extraoridinary places like Thailand, Singapore, Delhi, South Korea, Sydney, and Hong Kong.  Paris' talent caught the ears of his shipmates as he led Sunday praise and worship and performed on the ship's talent show.  From that point Paris was asked to perform for Navy events and became the staple "national anthem guy."  After discharge he remained in Jacksonville.

THE VOICE - While he was stationed in Mayport, Florida in 2015 he traveled to Atlanta to audition for NBC's The Voice season 9 where he learned about the stress and nerves of auditioning when he prepared "A Change is Gonna Come."  Turned down he gave it another shot for season 20, a virtual audition, dressed to the nines in his favorite suit and sang "How Deep is Your Love."  After being turned down again he decided there would be no more auditions.  The following year, 2021, "I said I wouldn't do it but I signed up anyway" for an audition for season 21.  He remembers that his father called him and prayed with him about the decision and what an impact it had.  On audition day Paris dressed in blue jeans, button up shirt, and sweater and prayed before he recorded "Can We Talk," by Tevin Campbell.  This time - he made it! Flown out to Los Angeles he performed the blind TV audition singing "Superstition" and was chosen by John Legend and Ariana Grande and Paris chose John to be his coach. Paris made it through weeks of challenges and performances through to the finals and was crowned 3rd place winner!

Paris' inspiration comes from his musical heroes: Layla Hathaway, Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin (he says the greatest ever), and gospel artist Daryl Coley who was the first vocalist he heard use his voice as an instrument with riffs and runs in gospel music.

MUSIC - Paris will re-release his first single, "I'm Pressure," in fall 2024 and will be releasing his first EP in spring 2025.

FUTURE - Paris sees himself making his footnote in music history as a soul singer.  He believes that he has been given a gift by God and that the message is behind the gift.  His ultimate mission is to build his legacy by giving. He plans to open his own performance academy, recording studio, and booking agency to help the community.
